Japan Caribbean Carnival & Carnival Village 2025 Activity Report

On Tuesday, September 23, 2025 (a national holiday), we held the “Japan Caribbean Carnival & Carnival Village 2025” at the Saitama Circuit Akigase with the aim of promoting international exchange.

The carnival attracted nearly 200 participants from both Japan and abroad, and the Carnival Village, held concurrently, was a huge success, drawing many visitors from other prefectures as well.

It was a profoundly meaningful day for cultural exchange, featuring performances by local Trinidad and Tobago artists such as “PREEDY” and “DING DONG,” as well as Japan-based groups including “Panorise Color,” who play the steel pan—an instrument originating in Trinidad and Tobago—and Japanese taiko drummer Taisei Otonuma and his group “Wadaiko Iroha.”

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved for their cooperation, as well as to all the guests who attended.

We will continue our activities aimed at promoting cultural exchange between our two countries, and we kindly ask for your continued support and cooperation.
