Activity Report: “Trinidad and Tobago National Day” at the Osaka-Kansai Expo
On August 11, 2025, Mr. Iino, an auditor of our organization, attended the “Trinidad and Tobago National Day” ceremony and luncheon at the Guest House held at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, having received an official invitation. He was accompanied by a member of our organization who is a Trinidadian and Tobagonian residing in Japan.
This ceremony serves as a significant opportunity for Trinidad and Tobago to showcase its culture, arts, and industries to the world. Furthermore, this year marks the first year that the United Nations has designated “World Steelpan Day.” For our organization as well, this day represents a milestone in our ongoing efforts to promote culture, and we were deeply moved by the occasion.
On the day of the event, we participated in the afternoon parade at the Ooyane Ring and the evening reception party, which provided a valuable opportunity to interact with many stakeholders. We also met with a group of artists from Trinidad and Tobago who had come to Japan for the ceremony and exchanged views on future cultural exchanges. Among them was an artist whom our organization’s auditor, Mr. Iino, had known for many years, and being able to reunite with him in Japan was a meaningful occasion for our organization.
Although our organization was established only recently, we are deeply grateful to the government of Trinidad and Tobago for recognizing our efforts and extending this official invitation. Inspired by this experience, we will continue to strive to promote cultural and artistic exchange between our two countries.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all parties involved for their warm support in connection with this official invitation.
